A Skins game with a twist
NUMBER OF PLAYERS: Any number
OBJECT OF THE GAME: To make a lower score than any other
player to win a Skin, AND to not make a higher score
than any other player to avoid paying each of your opponents.
Scoring can be either your actual scores (Gross), or using handicap
stokes (Net).
Each hole represents a chance to earn a point from your playing
partners for the single lowest score. And, if a player posts
a score higher than all others on the hole, he/she looses a point paid to each
opponent. The value of each point is determined before
the round begins. The ACE is considered the lowest score on any hole, the DEUCE is
for highest score. ACEs are worth two times the DEUCE points.
FOR EXAMPLE: $1.00 Ace and 50¢ Deuce Points
1. Scores = Bob 5, Jeff 6, Sam 5 and Dylan 4. (Dylan is the ACE,
Jeff the DEUCE)
Dylan earns $1.00 each from Bob, Jeff and Sam for the single
low score. (And the deuce - Jeff pays
a total of $1.50 to Dylan)
Jeff, the Deuce, owes 50¢ each to Bob, Sam and Dylan (DEUCE)
as his was the single
highest score.
2. Scores = Bob 4, Jeff 4, Sam 4 and Dylan 5
In this situation, there are no points for lowest score. (ACE)
Dylan owes Bob, Jeff, and Sam 50¢ each for the single
highest score on the hole. (He is the DEUCE)
Carryovers are optional for the lowest score (ACE) points. In the
example above, there is $3.00 to be won if youre the ACE on
a hole. If two tie for the low score (as in example #2) then all
tie and the $3.00 is carried over to the next hole which then becomes
worth $6.00 if you are the ACE. 50¢ is still the only amount
at risk for a single highest score.
