Sample Golf Game – Acey Deucey

7 June 2009

The Great Games for Golf eBook is designed for anyone who loves golf and likes to play side games with your partners. Here’s a sample game for you to try:

ACEY – DEUCEY
Where winning is twice as good as losing

The object of this game is to earn points by making a lower score than any other player, AND to not lose points by making a higher score than any other player.

Scoring can be either your actual scores (Gross), or using handicap stokes (Net).

Each hole represents a chance to earn two points from your playing partners for the single lowest score. And, if a player posts a score higher than all others on the hole, he/she looses a point paid to each opponent.

The ACE is considered the lowest single score on any hole, the DEUCE is for the single highest score. ACE’s are worth two times the DEUCE points.

For betting purposes, a dollar value can be assigned to points that will be paid out at the end of the round, or a ‘buy-in’ amount can be in a pot to be claimed by the highest point earner.
